Vouch ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian influencer marketplace operated as a sole trader. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Vouch platform, including our website and waitlist.

Information we collect

We collect the following personal information:

  • Waitlist sign-ups: email address, role (brand or creator), Australian state, and content niches you select.
  • Account profiles (when the platform launches): name, business or creator profile details, social media handles, and content information you choose to provide.
  • Payment information (when applicable): billing details processed securely through Stripe. We never store raw card numbers.
  • Usage data: pages visited, actions taken on the platform, and device/browser information collected automatically.

We do not collect sensitive information (as defined under APP 3) unless required and with your consent.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Manage your waitlist registration and notify you when Vouch launches
  • Operate and improve the Vouch platform
  • Facilitate connections between brands and creators
  • Process payments and manage transactions
  • Send product updates and relevant communications (you may opt out at any time)
  • Comply with our legal obligations

We will not use your information for purposes unrelated to those listed above without your consent.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following third-party service providers who help us operate Vouch:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (servers located in the United States)
  • Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure (servers located in the United States)
  • Stripe — payment processing (when payments are enabled)

Each provider has their own privacy policy and we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your data in accordance with the APPs.

By using Vouch, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and stored in the United States under APP 8.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Waitlist data is retained until Vouch launches and for a reasonable period after.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing vouch.australia@gmail.com. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of direct marketing communications at any time
  • Make a complaint about how we handle your information

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and storing data with reputable cloud providers.

In the event of an eligible data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and to understand how visitors use the platform. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
